Susu Dugas

Susu Dugas is new to the Board of Tumaini but has been involved in various capacities for the past several years. Her husband’s colleague Helen Hayes introduced their family to Eunice and her vision for a shamba (farm) where the kids could have more space, freshly grown food and better education. In the summer of 2010, Susu and husband Mike and their three teenage children – Marilis, Sofia, and Andre’ – all saw the reality of those dreams upon visiting Tumaini for one week. They highly recommend the experience, which has helped them continue this life-changing journey that they began in 2007.

In her life in Denver, Susu has been involved in numerous child- and family-centered organizations such as The Adoption Exchange, Families First, Adam’s Camp and PIN (Parent Information Network). For over the past 20 years, she has practiced as a pediatric speech-language pathologist where her passion of helping kids and families comes to life!
