The Move

We made a major move in this quarter of the year. We finally moved all the offices from Rukubi to Ondiri farm. We are still settling into the farm, though because all activities are so well coordinated, there is actually a lot to be done! This work is so exciting. The older boys will join the rest of the family at Tumaini in the course of the month of April. We have great plans for the former premises of Tumaini. We will give further details of this plan in the next newsletter.

We have cultivated a very large portion of the farm. We have planted maize, beans and potatoes. All these crops depend on rainfall. The rains started last month and are continuing. We can only say, ―Thank God for the rains! We are expecting a bumper harvest this year.

We have brought into the farm 10 small bulls which we hope to rear to maturity then sell them. The pigs are already a good source of income for Tumaini. They have proved to be very easy to rear because they are resistant to many diseases that affect other livestock. Also, the number of chickens on the farm has grown tremendously.

The fishpond at the farm provides such a beautiful, scenic view of the entire farm. The fish are growing at an amazing pace. We hope to carry out the first harvest in the month of July. Be sure to view the photos of this exciting event in the next quarter.
Thank you for prayers and support.
